The report presents detailed data from 78 college
sports stadiums and arenas about their past, current and
planned future practices regarding their stadium and arena
playing surfaces and related landscaping and areas. The study
helps its readers to answer questions such as: How much do
colleges spend on playing surface renovation? How many plan
renovations of their arena playing surfaces over the next few
years? How many have renovated their stadium playing turf or
related landscape and areas in recent
years?
Among the study’s many participants are:
Bucknell University, the College of William & Mary,
Georgetown University, Indiana State University, Louisiana
Tech University, Michigan State University, Simon Fraser
University, Texas A&M, the University of California at
Berkeley, the University of Colorado, the University of
Maryland, the University of Nevada, and many, many others. The
data in the report is drawn from two recently published
reports – The Survey of College Sports Stadium Redesign
Efforts and College Sports Arena Renovation Benchmarks, also
available from Primary Research Group. Data in the report is
broken out by many variables including college size, athletic
division, age of stadium, seating capacity and other
variables.
